Iraq Study Group Offers Many Recommendations to President


An Iraq Study Group was created March 15, 2006 to come up with recommendations to give to President George Bush concerning a course of action the United States should take in Iraq. Their report, The Iraq Study Group Report: The Way Forward—A New Approach, was issued first to Bush and members of Congress, then to the public on December 6, 2006 during a morning press conference. read more


Bill Passes to Build Fence Along Mexican/United States Border


President George W. Bush passed a bill regarding building a fence along the Mexican border into a law on Oct. 26, 2006 due to illegal immigration into the United States. It is estimated that there are 20 million illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States. read more


Execution of Former Iraqi Leader Leads to Controversy

PHS Student Council Hosts Blood Drive


For more than six years, the PHS student council has been hosting the blood drive to aid the blood center as well as the Red Cross, in providing blood to southeast Wisconsin. The Student Council had 80 donors this year, surpassing their goal of 75. Members of the council rounded up donors during lunch mods as well as just flat out asking the available juniors and seniors to donate. read more
