New Aurora Clinic to Open Next Year

Late this summer construction began on the new $12 million dollar Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center in Plymouth.
Aurora announced in September 2005 that they would be building the clinic to better serve their patients.  The new building will be 80,000 square feet and include a 400-car parking lot.  It will be placed on a 33-acre plot on the southeast corner of State Highway 23 and Pleasant View Road.  The new clinic will be nearly five times bigger then the clinic located at 2636 Eastern Ave.

All of the clinics services will be moved to the new location and will offer an urgent care center.  Also all of the physician will now be moved up to the new clinic.  Aurora’s Physical Rehabilitation Center will also be moving from its freestanding building to the new clinic.   The new building will also have a retail pharmacy located inside.
Many people in the community are very excited about having the new building coming to Plymouth. “I’m happy the center is coming to Plymouth and I hope that it makes getting in and out of appointments faster,” said Cascade resident Mary Rementer.
Some students are happy to see the clinic come also, “I’m happy it’s here, and it will make a good addition to Plymouth,” said Sophomore Katie Kiedrowski.
According to Aurora the construction will be completed in about a year.
