Born in 1994 Milan, Italy, Lacuna Coil was an aspiring band that signed with Century Records in 1997. Originally the band was named Sleep of Right, but changed their name to Ethereal. However, once they had signed with Century, the band found that the name Ethereal had already been taken, so they changed their name one final time to Lacuna Coil, which means empty spiral. read more
